* A handsome BOI chief and his voluptuous assistant have been seen coming and going from the hospital area at all hours of the day and night. They sit for hours in the car with the window glass steamed over.


* The mayor is actively campaigning.  The Boom Boom Room, it seems, is the place to campaign in this town.


* A certain socialite certainly spends a great deal of time in the confessional on her knees with Cardinal Paine.  Confessing?

* Who is Shenson? I hear if you want to know anything about anything he is the once to contact. So … where do we find him?


* Dr. KJ Kiranov and his lovely fiancé, Xyza Armistice, were mugged last Sunday night. The mugger even went so far as to slap the lovely lady. All of the street fair monies - GONE! And where were the finest of Chicago? At doughnuts shop? SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!


*Anouk Lefavre, our own SL Chicago Herald owner / editor is hosting the Lost Generation Guild meeting… IM Anouk for the when and where. This is a group that the “minds” of Chicago belong too. Join them!


*It was reported that Miss Bubbles and Miss Foley were seen cutting a rug and sipping ice tea at the Needle last night. Is their sweet tea that good that these two socialites would plan to be there most Friday nights? Miss Foley? Miss Bubbles? Switch to unsweet tea maybe Ladies.


* Speaking of Needles … the entertainment was of first notch quality and no one can shimmy better what god gave them then Lady Leor. The importune duet between her and her sugar Daddy, David Valentinio, was something well worth the trip to the speakeasy alone.


*MORE CHIT CHAT:

*Goddess Apparel is holding a “Grand Re-Opening” with Chicago’s own Dilah Halostar performing. An event worthy of not missing.

*The mayor’s new secretary, Olive, is in place and ready to help you. Just stop buy and talk some business. She is one busy lady though so consider an appointment.

*Which speakeasy has hooch and which one doesn’t and where are the speakeasys?

* It is mentioned on the street that a new club is coming to Chigago, The Boom Boom Room and we don’t think they are selling postage stamps.

*Who is driving the trolley?

* The name around Chicago this Monday morning, like every Monday morning no matter where you venture to, is Fay Foley. Those of you who are unfamiliar with the social elite’s nightlife, Foley is unquestionably one of the most wealthy people in the area. She lives in the grandiose Foley – Hancroft Building’s penthouse floors. Her opulent parties, for which she became renowned while living abroad, have set the bar on what constitutes a “swell” party. Miss Foley takes great measures to provide her guests with an assortment of sweet teas. Neighbors of hers have confirmed that every Friday Foley has five crates of Red, Green, White, Oolong and Jasmine tea delivered from some foreign place and her “sweet” tea is the talk of Chicago.  For this particular party introducing Doctor KJ and his lovely fiancé to the polite society of Chicago she had her chefs design food into beautiful shapes and cooked with the most exquisite ingredients. And she brought a jazz band in from Harlem. Everyone is in agreement that Miss Fay Foley’s parties are and will be the highlight of Chicago’s social calendar. ~ Elba


* Dr. KJ. as he has come to be fondly called, and his lovely Fiancé, Xyza, are arranging a street fair as a thank you gift it is said to the City for the warm, supporting  welcome. What a thank you gift!  Look for the excitement in the streets this weekend.


*Anouk, our own SL Chicago Herald owner / editor is establishing a Book Club in the next couple of weeks… watch postings at the Bookstore to see the when and the where.  This is a group that you won’t want to miss joining.


*Chatter has that Chicago’s own Miss Bubbles will be opening her “business” shortly.  What exactly is her business though? And with whom does she do business?


* Our own, Dilah was so ill last weekend she couldn’t  even squeak but it is said that she has improved, though it was noted that this melodious singer, Miss Bubbles, and  Miss Foley did come glide into Club Fiume 30 minutes bed-fore closing, sipping sweet tea and giggling.  Nevertheless … Dilah will be singing like an angel this coming Saturday night at Club Fiume.


* MORE CHIT CHAT:
       - New stores with new designs, for Chicago’s special taste – shop Chicago first!
       - The mayor is hiring a secretary. Yea, you read it right, the mayor is hiring a   secretary? Does this mean he has work to do?
       - Needles new management, the Valentino Family, is moving in fast and hard.
       - Watch for some exciting news in that area soon.
       - Lance Hancroft was seen in town night before last. Why?

* Chit chat about town is that two gangs are shooting the place up? It seems they have one goal and that is to run the other gang off.  And quickly too.  ~ Elba


* A new Dr. has come to Chicago, Dr. KJ  Kiranov.  A small informal gathering is being hosted by our own Miss Fayandria Foley to introduce Dr KJ Kiranov to Chi society.


*Bubbles, bubbles every where … If you haven’t seen the art pieces Bubbles has brought to Chicago from her last trip abroad you need to look for them soon.  Well worth the line you will need to stand in.


*A world renown photographer, Charles Moretti , has  slipped into town  to  take some pictures of our own sweet song bird, Dilah Holastar as she performs for an upcoming exhibition.


*Hints to future CHIT CHAT:
       A new store in town and it is said even a goddess would find something to wear there.
       The mayor was seen moving several large crates into an abandoned warehouse.  Think he’s got a new job?
       New cops arriving daily … but where have all the old ones gone?
       OH!  Needles is under new management, the Valentino Family, and we here it is about to get HOT, HOT on that side of Chi town.

* It is said that one of the “gangs” (like we have gangs in Chicago) delivers alcohol to local speakeasys.  AND…it takes place EVERY Thursday night from 6 PM to 8 PM SLT.  Yesh! Be there and let’s see what happens.  ~ Elba

* Ancelay Enfortray, the pseudo Mayor of this city was seen giving tours to several different groups of tourist. Is he making dough on the side as a tour guide now?  Who IS running the city?

*Ucylay Onglarksay was milling around bookstores and discovered a lovely little gem she has donated to a public table and worth your while to locate.  But, who knew she could read?

* Aulpay Eightoncray’s main squeeze, ObbiJobay Onsonjay was seen in Seraph City enjoying a show at one of the city’s fine establishments.  She was without Aulpay Eightoncray but it was mentioned that Ettyebay Uganday was there and that ObbiJobay SAW a lot of Ettyebay while there.

*And Aulpay Eightoncray… why does Mr. Heart Throb, Acethray Egavay  insist on constantly calling him “Boss”?  And who is the quiet red-headed gentleman seen with Mr. Heart Throb now and again? Is there a new man in town?

A SPECIAL CHATTER REPORT

Thursday night in the City was a hot and tense one. And it was seen first hand, by this visiting reporter, that a certain floral shop owned by Ootietay Arptoothshay was EXTREMELY busy; which is not unusual BUT ... an FBI agent was seen going in, staying a VERY long time, then leaving without flowers. It was overheard, his asking the owner, Ootietay Arptoothshay, what kind of shop it was - oh dear! - that stiff needs a ribbon.

The Chatter that matters

The Chatter around Chicago says ...

* Women used to guard their virtue. Now look at them -- smoking, gambling, and probably nipping bootleg gin under the table! Two brazen women from our own community frequent a shady speakeasy so it is said and take turns dancing for tips.

* The new local politician turned celebrity has a questionable past, he is certainly wealthy, however no one is too sure what he has done to get it. His parties are the razzle dazzle of this city. Hope you get an invitation. I got mine!

* The 'It Girl' has been seen in Chicago promoting a new movie. She is a megastar international sex symbol but she is also the first actress who visibly flaunts her sex appeal and, in turn, has become the most talked-about resident of Hollywood. Did I hear you ask who is she? Turn you guess in as to who it might be to the office of this newspaper and if you are correct have your name entered in to a drawing for 500L.



*Good gravy! When does this town intend to get a copper or two?

Closing chatter brings us to one other burning question ... Why would two people, from this community, be taking turns shooting at each other? Puts a whole new spin on the phrase "dead ringer".
