October 8th 7:00pm SLT is the Grand Opening of Colosimo's Italian Restaurant featuring the singing sensation Dilah Halostar.  Colosimo's has been praised as having the best pasta in Chicago.  When you visit Colosimo's you'll be treated to an old world dining experience that is second to none.  So come join us between 7:00PM and 9:00PM SLT Mama Bianco says "vieni a trovarmi (come see me) You too skinny".

Miss America Beauty Pageant

Pageant open to anyone in second life, special consideration given to citizens of the Roaring Twenties sim on Rich Island.
Entrance submission is open and will close on Thursday October 07 at midnight: no entries accepted after deadline.
Womens 1920s bathing suits will be available sometimes next week at StarChild Designs store here in Chicago.
All Contestants will be given a Schedule THE TROPHY and CONTESTANTS PHOTOS will be on display in the City Town Square.

Entry Requirements:
L$200 fee for all non residents of Roaring Twenties sim.


Competitors will represent their city.
Entrants must be available during the duration of the event, 4 days, with diff events each day.


Entrants will submit a:
~ * Notecard with full name, and a short description of themselves
~ * Photoset of their avatar, Photo's must include a close up of face and visible clear full body,
~ * All photos must have full permission and submitted in folder named Beauty Pageant (your name) to  Xyza Armistice

Entrants must provide necessary clothing and suitable attachments for the Pageant, which includes the following :

Pageant Rules:
Winners will be judged by an independent panel of 5, during our live pageant.
*Judging to be based on beauty, style and poise, according to 1920's standards.
Entrants agree to have any pictures taken during the event to be used for promotional purposes.

Entrants must be present during the live pageant to be judged in each category.

Any and all funds over the expense of this event will be donated to Relay for Life general fund.

Relay for Life 2010 culminates this weekend!

This is it!  It's "Relay for Life" weekend!

Relay for Life of SL is a charity drive to benefit the American Cancer Society, as well as other International Cancer research and assistance programs, which spans the entire SL grid.

This weekend Relay for Life 2010 culminates in a 24 hour relay, beginning Saturday July 17th at 10AM SLT.  The event is huge and includes a track that traverses 34 sims of decorated campsites, and even entire sim theme builds.  Also there will be live entertainment, live auctions, and much, much more!

The Relay philosophy is: We are here so that those who face cancer will be supported, that those who have lost their battle will not be forgotten, and so that one day cancer will be eliminated.

On July 17th & 18th we will do just that.   Below is a list of Ceremonies and Activities that will take place at the  July 2010 Relay.

Saturday, July 17th:

10:00am - 11am - Opening Ceremonies

11:00am - 12:00pm  - Survivor Hour

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Caregivers Hour

9:00pm - 10:00pm - Luminary Ceremony

4:00pm - 5:30pm - Inspirational Storytelling Play

Sunday, July 18th:

6:00am - 7:00am - Fight Back Ceremony (The Cape Story)

7:00am - 8:30am - Live Auction done in Voice (entertainment sim)

9:00am - 10:00am -Closing Ceremonies

10:00am - FIREWORKS!

Around after the event (if you can stay awake) for the T1 Radio Annual "We Don't Wanna Go Home" party.

Live Music, the Scavenger Hunt, Auctions, Fishing, Mining Roller Coaster in the Sky, Surfing and Storytelling Play in the Park will be happening around the clock! There will be a few other attractions as well, such as  a Riverboat on the sim named Treatment, and Water Slide Tubes on the Unity sim! Be sure and check it all out!

Please come and help us as we Celebrate the Survivors still among us, Remember those that have been lost, and Fight Back against this dreaded thing we call Cancer!
